The Money Trail – Canberra, Friday June 10

3 minute read

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Friday’s meeting at Canberra.

Track: Heavy 10

Rail: Out 8m Entire Circumference

First race: 11.50am

Yasnat (Race 2) is vying for favouritism at $2.70 after firming about a half point in early betting. Now trained by Matthew Dale, the filly has raced only once for a midfield effort at Mornington before a spell but she was well in the market and the money suggests she has improved with the break.

Snipps Parade (Race 5) has been backed into the red at $1.80 and is a big go having firmed almost a full point. His form is strong with a win and a placing in his two runs this campaign and his last start effort was on a heavy surface so his effort to get within 1.1 lengths of the winner has caught the attention of punters.

Zardabba (Race 6) is a warm favourite at $2.60 and is the only one punters have wanted in this race so far. His form suggests he is ready to win after three good runs this campaign, placing at the last two and his last start rating is one of best in the field. He is untried in heavy going but has placed twice on the soft.
