The Money Trail – Kembla Grange, Tuesday June 14

3 minute read

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Tuesday’s meeting at Kembla Grange.

Track: Soft 6

Rail: True

First race: 12.10pm

King's Tariff (Race 3) is one of a few of these to have been backed but he is the best go at $3.70 after firming in close to a dollar. He was a last-start Hawkesbury winner over this distance when also well supported in betting and he returned a career high rating on that occasion to suggest he is on an upward spiral at present.

Black Eye Pea (Race 4) has firmed in the best part of two points to a fixed odds quote of $4.40. The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained colt steps out for his second career start after a debut fourth at Gosford when returning one of the higher ratings in this field and punters are looking for improvement with the benefit of experience.

Ideal Express (Race 5) is challenging for favouritism at $3.50 after firming in several points since betting opened. He has been a beaten favourite when placed third at his last two outings but has city form lines earlier in his career and punters are prepared to give him another chance with the step up in journey.
