Group 1 racing for the remainder of season 2016/17 is conducted entirely in Brisbane with Saturday’s feature the Kingsford Smith Cup (1300m).
The weight-for-age event features Darren Weir’s Iron Horse Black Heart Bart who backs up following a luckless outing in The Goodwood at Morphettville last Saturday.
Black Heart Bart is a $3.50 favourite for the event.
The promising Derryn ($6.00) and Counterattack $7.00 each contest the event off last start placings.

Seven of the eight races at Eagle Farm on Saturday boast Group status with the lone Group 2 on the card the BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m).
New Zealand filly Melody Belle holds favouritism ($4.20) in a race which includes another NZ Raider in Qiji Phoenix ($8.00).
The race also boasts a strong Sydney presence with Tangled ($6.00), Malahat ($7.50) and Taking Aim ($8.50) all in the market.
Capital Gain for Paul Butterworth is considered the best of the local hopes at $11.00).
The Eagle Farm quadrella commences with the Group 3 Grand Prix Stakes (2200m).
It features a battle for favouritism between dual Group 1 winner Prized Icon and another New Zealander in Shocking Luck.
Black On Gold ($7.50) and Volatile Mix ($10.00) profile as solid each way chances as they head up the highway both off last start wins interstate.
Racing for the day at Eagle Farm concludes with the Group 3 Fred Best Classic (1400m).
It will likely possess a capacity 18 horse field, all of which look set to run at each way odds.
Good Standing ($6.50) appeals off a last start win while Heroic Valour ($6.00) and Tessera ($7.00) also warrant thought off their respective last start placings.
Each of the three are early in their campaigns and open to further improvement.
