RACE 3 (7) ARTISTRY: The Snowden team have a very good opinion of this lightly-raced filly and it is by design that they have given her a month since she won first-up over 1250m at Canterbury as they build her up to black type races during the carnival. She topped off her preparation for this race with an excellent trial at Randwick on Tuesday when she held her ground well without being put under any pressure and her scope for improvement makes her a big player in this field from an ideal draw.RACE 4 (9) SULTRY FEELING: There is no question this mare has the talent to win at group level, which makes this BM 85 event a perfect step after her impressive first up win over 1100m at this course on August 29. She has gone ahead in fine style on the track since that win and with ample speed in this field should be able to sit back and unleash the same sprint that was a feature of her first-up win.
RACE 8 (12) NANCY: Another highly promising mare who has had just four starts for two wins and two close seconds but with better luck may well be unbeaten. She was certainly out of luck when resuming over 1250m at Canterbury on August 19 when she hit the line fast after little went right for her in the run under 59.5kg. Gets a sharp 5.5kg drop in weight and looks certain to relish getting out to 1400m for the first time in her career.BLACKBOOK UPDATE
