ROSEHILL MULTI
RACE 3 (1) SEGALAS: Another difficult program with a certain heavy track and rain forecast through the meeting. Wet trackers are the order of the day and Godolphin have the right horses for the conditions, starting with this talented 5YO mare in a grade of race where she is very well placed on her best form with the advantage of Tom Sherry's 3kg claim. She's missed a place only once in 10 starts on slow and heavy tracks and steps up to his best distance after resuming with a closing fifth under 60.5kg over 1100m at Canterbury where she never got the chance to be fully tested. No concern with a break of five weeks between runs as her fresh record is equally strong and she has the draw to enjoy a run that will give her last look at the leaders.
RACE 8: (13) COLETTE: A big finish to a blue day as Godolphin is set to play a big hand in the Golden Eagle with three strong contenders. Siding with this top class mare on the strength of her wet track form – she's unbeaten in three heavy track starts including her Oaks victory last season – and the prep she has had through top G1 races for this target race after her luckless sixth in the Epsom Handicap over the Randwick mile four weeks ago. The stable has passed up numerous other options to keep her fresh for this race and the testing heavy track will play right into her wheelhouse. Should be strong at the finish with the best of the draw over the main contenders.
