Yarraman Park-based stallion I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) sired an impressive juvenile double on Wednesday, as the Ron Quinton-trained De An Andretti (2 f ex Aloha by Encosta de Lago) broke her maiden over 1100 metres at Hawkesbury at the first attempt, while the Danny O’Brien-trained I Am In The Mood (2 f ex Intimate Moment by Dubawi) also made a winning debut over 1100 metres at Bendigo.

Owned by Gerry Harvey, De An Andretti was awkward leaving the barriers, but stayed on well in the closing stages to beat Your Too Good (Your Song) by a neck, while Hoover Lucy (No Nay Never) was another quarter of a length away in third.

"It was an outstanding effort I thought because she came out very awkward out of the gate which she had never done before," Quinton said.

"I think it just tells us that she's a pretty good filly.

"She's beautifully bred and she's a monster of a filly for a two-year-old. So that's what we've got to take care of, she's so big on those legs.

"She'll be a very good three-year-old, so she'll probably go for a holiday now and come back for the spring."

The filly is one of four winners out of 2011 Coolmore Classic (registered as TAD Kennedy Stakes) (Gr 1, 1500m) winner Aloha (Encosta De Lago), making her a sister to multiple Group 2 winner Libertini (I Am Invincible).

Aloha herself is a daughter of Listed winner Tennessee Midnight (Danehill) - the grandam of Group 2 scorer My Emotion (Savabeel), who is herself a half-sister to the dam of Group 1 winner Seabrook (Hinchinbrook).

Tennessee Midnight is out of Group 2 scorer Tennessee Morn (Bletchingly), making her a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Malaguerra (Magnus), while further back this is also the same pedigree as Group 1 winner Cool Aza Beel (Savabeel), who will cover his first book of mares at Newhaven Park Stud this spring.

Aloha’s 2019 colt by I Am Invincible is called Hawaii Five Oh and he is unraced, while her 2020 colt by the Yarraman Park stallion and she was covered by him again last December.

Meanwhile at Bendigo, I Am In The Mood brought up the first win of her career when she defeated Cardigan Queen (Sebring) by three-quarters of a length. Glamour And Glory (Star Turn) was the same distance away in third.

I Am In The Mood is the second winner out of Group 3-winning daughter of Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) Intimate Moment and she is herself a half-sister to Group 3 scorer Upham (Mastercraftsman) and Listed winner Bonnie Mac (Thorn Park) - the dam of 2019 Coolmore Stud Stakes (registered as Ascot Vale Stakes) (Gr 1, 1200m) winner and now Vinery Stud-based sire Exceedance (Exceed And Excel) and Group 3 winner Oxley Road (Exceed And Excel).

Intimate Moment’s 2019 colt by Snitzel (Redoute’s Choice) was purchased by O’Brien for $330,000 at last week’s Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale and she has most recently been covered by Darley Stud-based Exceed And Excel (Danehill).

De An Andretti and I Am In The Mood’s victories take I Am Invincible’s total juvenile winning tally for the season to 12, and they are headed by Group 2 winner Home Affairs and Imperatriz, who landed the Eclipse Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) in New Zealand.

I Am Invincible finished last week’s Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale as the leading sire by aggregate after 44 of his yearlings sold for a gross of $27,085,000 at an average of $615,568 and this included nine yearlings selling for $1 million or more.
