Sir Prancealot heads roster while Ambidexter will relocate to Tasmania
Sir Prancealot (Tamayuz) will stand at Cornerstone Stud for an unchanged fee of $9,900 (inc GST) and he will be joined on the roster by Valentia (Fastnet Rock), who will stand for an increased fee of $7,700 (inc GST).
With Ambidexter (Commands) relocating to Tasmania, the South Australian-based nursery will rely on Valentia, who has sired seven winners, including stakes-placed pair Smokin’ Val and Fayerra and Sir Prancealot who is the sire of nine stakes winners in the northern hemisphere, including Grade 1 scorer Lady Prancealot.
“Whilst his first crop was his smallest the most pleasing response to Sir Prancealot has been the trainers flocking back to buy them again in his second season. His yearlings have averaged $50,000 this year,” Cornerstone Stud’s Sam Hayes said.
Valentia’s oldest runners are now three-year-old’s and whilst only having modest crop sizes the quality of his runners to date will see him cover a much larger book of mares in 2021.
“We are expecting Valentia to cover 80 to 90 mares this year at his fee of $7,700,” Hayes said.
