Gollan-trained Situation Room breaks his maiden on debut at Ipswich
The Tony Gollan-trained Situation Room (2 g ex Chasing Kisses by Hidden Dragon) became the second winner for the Eureka Stud-based sire Defcon (Choisir) when he broke his maiden at Ipswich on Monday.
The gelding scored a half length victory in the Mining / Energy Workers Cup Maiden (1100m) over Menazzi (Pride Of Dubai). Conismo - who is also by Defcon - was over two lengths further back in third.
Bought by Andrew Harvey for $30,000 at last year's Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale from the draft of Eureka Stud, Situation Room is out of the dual winner Chasing Kisses (Hidden Dragon) who has now produced two winners from four foals to race. She is a sister to Group 3 winner Hidden Kisses (Hidden Dragon) being out of Kiss An Angel (Piccolo).
Situation Room joins Alert And Ready as winners for Defcon.
