The Matthew Smith-trained Rock My Wand (Wandjina) will resume in the Denise's Joy Stakes (Listed, 1100m) at Rosehill on Saturday and her trainer is confident the filly will relish the wet conditions.

Having finished third behind subsequent Robert Sangster Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Instant Celebrity (Not A Single Doubt) in the Thousand Guineas Prelude (Gr 2, 1400m) on September 26, the filly was last seen running eighth in the Thousand Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m) on October 10.

"We gave her a good spell after Melbourne and she has come back in good shape," Smith said.

"She's a filly who loves wet tracks so if she gets a wet track, you'll see a different horse than what you get on top of the ground.

"She takes a run to get fit, but she looks great."

Keagan Latham has the ride on Rock My Wand, who has drawn well in barrier seven.

Smith has winter carnival aspirations for the filly and nominated the Helen Coughlan Stakes (Listed, 1200m) at Eagle Farm on May 29 and the Dane Ripper Stakes (Gr 2, 1300m) at the same track as potential targets.

"If she ran well there, we could even look at the Group 1, the Tatt's Tiara," Smith said.
