Yarraman Park's young sire Hellbent (I Am Invincible) recorded his tenth first crop winner, sixth this month, when the Kurt Goldman-trained Negation (2 f ex Gloray by Street Hero) broke her maiden at Goulburn.

Having her fourth career start, Negation ran on well in the closing stages to beat three-year-old Lady Fraulein (Panzer Division) by a head. Edna (Stratum Star) was a further half length back in third.

Negation was bought for $50,000 at the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale from the draft of her breeder, Grenville Stud, by her trainer, who also trained Hellbent until the end of his three-year-old season.

Hellbent now joins The Mission (Choisir) in siring ten first crop winners while Russian Revolution S(netizen) heads the table on 14. Hellbent is sitting in fifth in the leading first season sires table by earnings, again with that table headed by Russian Revolution.
