Noorilim Park celebrates record price on Day 1 at Inglis
Peter Carrick is celebrating a career highlight after cracking the $1 million barrier on Day 1 at Inglis Premier.
The Noorilim Park principal sold his first seven-figure yearling after their sister to Stakes-performed Miss Roseisno sold for $1.1 million.
The filly, who is by I Am Invincible, was bought by Tony Fung Investments.
Carrick said it was a landmark day for his farm, which is based at Arcadia, near Shepparton.
"That's a first for me, over 'a mill' ($1 million) not that I've chat close to 'a mill' before.
"She's a special mare Special Lover and she produced a special filly.
"She's a real queen of the show and I'm quite proud to bring her here to Victoria at the Inglis Sale with our 28 other horses."
Only two other yearlings have sold for more in Victoria; the $1.4m half-brother to The Quarterback and the $1.1m Written Tycoon colt from two years ago.
Noorilim's filly is the third foal from Special Lover, a daughter of Pins, whose other to race is five-time Ciaron Maher and David Eustace -trained winner Easy Single.
