Sejardan (Sebring) will stand at Blue Gum Farm this season alongside Flying Artie (Artie Schiller).

It has already been announced that Artie Schiller would be standing the 2023 season at the property, which is now under new management and the Group 2 winning Todman Stakes winner Sejardan will stand for an introductory fee of $13,750 (inc GST).

Trained by Gary Portelli, Sejardan won the Group 3 Breeders' Plate (1000m) on debut at Randwick in October 2021 and then added the Golden Gift (1100m) a month later. His biggest victory came in the Group 2 Todman Stakes (1200m) and he retires the winner of four of his 12 career starts, adding the Group 3 Red Anchor Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley last October.

"He was the dominant pre-Christmas two-year-old in Sydney winning both the Group 3 Breeders Plate and $1million Golden Gift before returning in the autumn to win the Group 2 Todman and was luckless in the Golden Slipper won by his stablemate Fireburn," said Blue Gum Farm's Sean Dingwall.

"Sejardan has a pedigree packed with Australian speed influences and we see that as a proven path to sire success."

By Sebring (More Than Ready), Sejardan is out of Miss Amarjardan (Hinchinbrook), he was a $160,000 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale purchase by Portelli Racing in 2021. His dam won as a juvenile and blue hen mare Procrastinate (Jade Hunter) - dam of Laisserfaire (Danehill), Foreplay (Danehill), Personify (Galileo) and Time Thief (Redoute's Choice), is Sejardan's fourth dam.

Blue Gum Farm are syndicating Sejardan and some shares are still available.
