Seradess became the second high-performing mare this month to find her way to Victoria's Yulong farm via a Magic Millions online sale after changing hands in a standalone offering on Thursday.

Bidding under the Highway Farm moniker, Yulong secured the Mark and Levi Kavanagh-trained Group 2-winning daughter of Astern for $700,000.

It came just a few weeks after the same organisation paid $1.35m for Group 1 winner Sheeza Belter.

Seradess, a $50,000 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase, was retired after five wins and four placings from 19 starts, which generated earnings of $558,000.

"A team of the owners met up at the Seven Stars Hotel in Adelaide city to have lunch and to watch the sale," part-owner Tom Paine said.

"All of the owners are over the moon with the sale - she's been such a great filly for us from the start of her career.

"We really want to thank Mark and Levi Kavanagh for getting the best out of Seradess and for me the link with Mill Park and (breeders) Harry Perks and Sam Scaffidi is special."
