Six for Adlerflug
In winning Sunday's Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup (1m2.5f) at the Curragh, English raider Alenquer (4 c ex Wild Blossom by Areion) became the sixth Group 1 winner for Adlerflug (In The Wings). A Group winner already, the William Haggas-trained and Gestut Romerhof-bred colt beat High Definition (Galileo) by a neck, with State Of Rest (Starspangledbanner) the same distance back in third. Formerly based at Gestut Schlenderhan, Adlerflug died at the age of 17 last year.

The Moyglare Stud Farm homebred Homeless Songs (3 f ex Joailliere by Dubawi) was the impressive five and a half length winner of Sunday's Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas (1m). Last seen winning the Group 3 1000 Guineas Trial (7f) on April 2, the Dermot Weld-trained filly beat the Aidan O'Brien-trained Tuesday (Galileo) to give Juddmonte Farm's Frankel (Galileo) his 21st Group 1 winner. Homeless Songs is one of 95 stakes winners for her sire who has six crops of racing age in the Northern Hemisphere and is operating at a rate of 16.2 per cent stakes winners to runners.

18 for Brazen Beau
New Collection's (2 f ex Mutoon by Erhaab) victory in the Premio Alessandro Perrone (1100m) at Capannelle on Sunday gave Darley's Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible) his 18th stakes winner. Starting favourite, the filly beat Bottle Of Bubbles (Cotai Glory) by an impressive five and a half lengths. Sire of juvenile Group 1 winner On The Bubbles, Brazen Beau's 2022 fee at Darley's Northwood Park has been sent at $44,000 (inc GST), down slightly from from $49,500 (inc GST) a year ago.
Six for Caravaggio
Former Coolmore Australia shuttler Caravaggio (Scat Daddy) sired his sixth stakes winner when the William Haggas-trained Maljoom (3 c ex Nictate by Teofilo) took out Sunday's Group 2 German 2000 Guineas (1600m) at Cologne. The colt pulled clear over the final 100 metres and beat Rocchigiani (Time Test) by a length and a quarter to remain unbeaten. Caravaggio shuttled to Coolmore Australia for just one season in 2018 when he covered a book of 143 mares.

Majestic Dawn (6 h ex Jolie Chanson by Mount Nelson) won the Listed Festival Stakes (1m2f) at Goodwood on Saturday to hand Dawn Approach (New Approach) with his 17th stakes winner. Starting favourite, the entire beat West End Charmer (Nathaniel) by three and three quarter lengths. Dawn Approach's stakes winners include his dual Group 1 winning son Poetic Flare and Australian Group 2 winner Paulele.
