Quick Thinker (So You Think), winner of the Australian Derby (Gr 1, 2400m) in 2020, sold to Tasmanian Gunn of Motree Thoroughbreds for $350,000 on the Inglis Ditital platform, giving the March (Late) Sale a new top lot. Raced by OTI Racing, Quick Thinker will become the foundation stallion for Tasmanian-based Motree Thoroughbreds.

"He'll be our foundation stallion, we've been expanding our broodmare band of late and we're thrilled to get a horse of his calibre to help us into the next phase," Gunn Said.

"We love breeding staying types and we think Quick Thinker will be a perfect match for our mares and a valuable asset for our broodmare band.''

Trained by Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman, Quick Thinker raced 23 times for five wins and five placings. His biggest victory came in the Australian Derby two years ago while he also won the Tulloch Stakes (Gr 2, 2000m), Chairman's Quality (Gr 2, 2600m) and the Ming Dynasty Quality (Gr 3, 1400m).

OTI's Terry Henderson said: "The service Inglis Digital provided was exceptional. Everything they said they would do - they did, whilst communicating throughout the process from start to finish. The determination to pursue every avenue for a sale is all a vendor can ever ask and the Inglis Digital team certainly fulfilled that obligation in a most diligent and professional manner. Overall, I could not have asked more from their efforts."
