Top Catalogue For Craven Breeze Up Sale

The Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale, Europe's premier breeze up sale takes place from April 12 – 14 and features 196 lots including half-brothers and sisters to 58 Group and Listed performers.

Fifteen of the top 20 active of 2010 are represented including CAPE CROSS, DANEHILL DANCER, DANSILI, DUBAWI, INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, OASIS DREAM , PIVOTAL and SHAMARDAL.

Top European and USA based sires with two-year-olds catalogued include BERNARDINI, DISTORTED HUMOR, DYNAFORMER, ELUSIVE QUALITY, GIANT'S CAUSEWAY, GONE WEST, LEMON DROP KID, MEDAGLIA D'ORO, MORE THAN READY, MR GREELEY, SEEKING THE GOLD and STREET CRY.

Classic and Group 1 winning first crop sires also feature prominently including AMADEUS WOLF, AUTHORIZED, DARK ANGEL, DUTCH ART, DYLAN THOMAS, EXCELLENT ART, INVASOR, LAWMAN, MANDURO, NOTNOWCATO, RED CLUBS, STREET SENSE and TEOFILO whilst successful first crop sires of 2010 BERNARDINI, FIRST SAMURAI, HURRICANE RUN and IFFRAAJ all have two-year-olds from their second crops catalogued.

Numerically the largest consignment comes from Willie Browne's Mocklershill Stables with 19 two-year-olds catalogued whilst Con Marnane's Bansha House Stables has 13 catalogued.

Commenting on the 2011 Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up catalogue, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;

“The Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale has over the last few years stamped itself as Europe's premier breeze up sale and the statistics certainly bear this out.

“During the last three years Craven Breeze Up graduates have won more Group/Listed races than all other GB/IRE breeze up sales combined including five Group 1 winners.

“The catalogue for this year is full of quality and with almost 200 lots looks certain to appeal to buyers from throughout the world and at all levels of the market.”

The 'breeze' will take place on Newmarket's Rowley Mile on Tuesday April 12.

The sale commences at 6pm on April 13 with the second and final session on April 14.
