Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Saturday’s meeting at Caulfield.

Track: Soft 7

Rail: Out 7m Entire Circuit

First race: 11.40am

Yulong Baby (Race 3) is offering good each way value at $5.50 after being a noticeable firmer by about $2.50. The Mick Price trained mare worked home well when resuming and has never finished worse than second in three previous second-up runs. She won twice at this track over 1800m and 2000m last campaign so will be better suited at this journey.

Stormcraft (Race 4) is another at an each way price of $5 after opening two points longer. He has returned in flying form this campaign winning his two runs at Bendigo and Pakenham and while facing his class test the money suggests he is up to it.

Duke Of Brunswick (Race 6) is a well-supported favourite at $3.10 having shortened 40 cents in the early stages of betting. He should be at peak fitness after three runs this campaign and all have been good efforts, finishing second at his last two runs in Melbourne.

Anatola (Race 7) has seized control of the market at $3.10. She is a well backed favourite having opened at $4.60 but is clearly the one punters have wanted early. She resumes after winning her first two starts as a raging favourite on the country circuit then running third in town before a spell.

A Lotta Love (Race 9) has taken over as favourite at $4.20 after good support has seen her firm up almost two whole points. Stakes placed in Adelaide two runs back, she was a last-start second at Sandown and has been kept up to the mark with a trial since.
