Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Tuesday’s meeting at Moe.
Mandalay Bay (Race 4) has been backed in to an odds on quote at $1.95, which is about 35 cents shorter has initial quote. The Matt Laurie-trained gelding has only raced once, when fifth to the smart Highland Beat in the city, and is expected to be better suited in this resuming off a recent trial.
Cullemmy's Diamond (Race 8) opened at big odds but has more than halved that quote and is now on the verge of single figures at $11 with TopBetta. She has yet to show up in three runs this campaign but they have all been on either the synthetic or a heavy track and may be able to improve on firmer footing today.Forthefunofit (Race 10) is challenging for favouritism at $4.40 after shortening close to a point and a half. He has been racing well of late including a Pakenham win three runs back and ran on well last start so may be looking for the longer trip today.
