Saint Valorem (Race 1) is one of a few to be backed in the day’s opener but he has been the best go into $5 having firmed almost eight points in early betting. The lightly-raced gelding has yet to miss a place including three wins and while he is up in grade he does look s a horse on the rise.

Miss Promiscuity (Race 6) is now a clear second pick in the market at $3.80 having shortened a point. Fitter for a good first up run, she has won four times at the track and three at the distance so ticks a few boxes today.

Keen Array (Race 7) has been backed into favouritism at $3.70, shortening about three quarters of a point in early trading. Group 1 placed last spring, he struggled in the autumn but a good first up second to Voodoo Lad at Moonee Valley suggested he is ready to return to form this campaign.

He's Our Rokkii (Race 9) was a strong winner when resuming and the punters are putting their faith in him again, he is a clear market elect at $2.70 having firmed a full point. A dual stakes winner in the autumn, he looks better placed bat 1400m and can progress to better things.
