Leami Astray (Race 1) is a lightly-raced horse putting together a handy record and the punters are backing her to successfully take the step up in grade, firming her more than a point early to $3.90. She has won three with two placings from five starts and rates well off her first up country win.

Echo Effect (Race 3) was a dual acceptor but will be running in the third and the punters believe he can give a sight, backing him at longer odds to see him more than halve his opening quote to $16. He faces his class test in this but is unbeaten in three starts and the value hunters believe winning form is good form.

English (Race 7) is a high class mare and she is the one punters have wanted to back, firming her in 30 cents to see her take a stranglehold on the market at $2.20. Unbeaten first up, she was a Group 1 winner last campaign and looks ready to fire after two recent barrier trial wins.

Handfast (Race 8) opened at a double figure quote but steady support has seen him tighten five to $6. He will be fitter for a solid first up run and was a stakes winner at this course and distance in the autumn.

No Doubt (Race 9) has had fans at longer odds in the last. He is in to $6.50 fixed odds with TopBetta after firming in from a double figure quote. He takes a step up to city grade today but is unbeaten from two runs on the provincial circuit and looks a horse of promise.
