Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Friday’s meeting at Moonee Valley.

Snitty Kitty (Race 1) opened at 25/1 but has been steadily supported and is in to $7 so could well be worth an each way ticket. The lightly raced filly is progressive, winning her maiden at Mornington two runs then running third at Caulfield at her latest outing.

Tarquin (Race 3) is a talented stayer on his day and may have found the right assignment following an improved third behind Real Love in the JRA Cup last start. The punters have latched on to that form and have backed Tarquin in a point to favouritism at $3.50.

Powderworks (Race 4) offers each way value at $7 having firmed in from a double figure quote in early betting. The Darren Weir-trained mare has consistent form, winning two on end at Pakenham and Mornington before running second in the Pinker Pinker Plate at a similar trip last start.

Rageese (Race 6) opened at close to each way odds but that price didn’t last long and the money has continued to flow, seeing his price shorten right up and in to an odds on quote of $1.90. He was just behind the placegetters in a Listed race last start and should be ready to peak third up.
