Tarquin (Race 3) is a talented stayer on his day and may have found the right assignment following an improved third behind Real Love in the JRA Cup last start. The punters have latched on to that form and have backed Tarquin in a point to favouritism at $3.50.Powderworks (Race 4) offers each way value at $7 having firmed in from a double figure quote in early betting. The Darren Weir-trained mare has consistent form, winning two on end at Pakenham and Mornington before running second in the Pinker Pinker Plate at a similar trip last start.
Rageese (Race 6) opened at close to each way odds but that price didn’t last long and the money has continued to flow, seeing his price shorten right up and in to an odds on quote of $1.90.
