Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Thursday’s meeting at Gosford.
Bel Selene (Race 1) has been well supported and is in to an odds on quote at $1.90 having firmed about a half point. She led throughout to win clearly at Beaumont resuming after also finishing her last campaign with a victory and looks capable of continuing the progress.
Jexerlent (Race 4) is the clear second favourite at $2.50 having the best part of a point in early betting. He raced in good city races as a two year-old and won a recent barrier trial at Rosehill so could be ready to fire fresh in this company.Once More A Lady (Race 5) has taken over at the head of the market at $3.50 after shortening close to a point and a half. The filly made a promising return when only beaten 0.4L at Gosford last time and should be hard to beat with the added fitness.
Too Chic (Race 6) could be worth an each way ticket at $5 having almost halved her opening quote in the early stages of betting.
