Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Wednesday’s meeting at Canterbury.
Forever Dream (Race 1) opened as the outsider in the small field but has been backed into favouritism at $2.70 having shortened more than five points. The debutante hasn’t shown a lot at the trials but the market push suggests much more is expected on race day.
Nothing Box (Race 4) is a well-supported favourite at $2.10, almost a point shorter than his initial quote. The consistent gelding has never finished worse than fourth and has been racing well in similar grade.Cordero (Race 6) opened at each way odds but has moved to the top line of betting at $4.40 having firmed more than two-and-a-half points. The lightly-raced three-year-old broke his maiden at Newcastle last start and the punters are backing him to take another step forward.
