Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Friday’s meeting at Grafton.
Sornja (Race 2) has been heavily backed and is now a hot odds on favourite at $1.45, half a point shorter than her opening quote. The filly drops back from a run in Brisbane last start and looks close to a win having been runner up at her two previous starts at Caloundra.
Love Battles (Race 3) could be worth an each way ticket at $6.50 having more than halved her quote this morning. She resumes but did run some decent races last campaign including a Doomben placing.Real Sting (Race 4) remains at each way value at $5 having firmed three points since markets first opened. He deserves a win having placed at his last three outings and has performed well at this distance range before.
The Weald (Race 5) is another being given an each way chance at $4.80 having firmed three points this morning. He has had plenty of chances without winning but ran an improved race last start and may be ready to break through.War Baby (Race 6) has taken over as favourite at $3.70, more than two points shorter than his initial quote. She is racing well with close up efforts at her past couple and drops in grade.
