Redevelop Well Placed At Warrnambool

3 minute read

Redevelop has been racing well of late over the obstacles and will be hard to hold out in the first on the program at Warrnambool today.

The Fran Houlahan & Brian Johnston-trained runner who step out in the Hampden Football Netball Stpl (3450m) won by a commanding 7L at Sandown two back before running a close third at Morphettville last time out.

With the track currently rates a heavy 10, Redevelop has a solid record on wet tracks and should prove hard to beat based on what he has produced in recent times.

The eight-year-old gelding rates well on weight adjusted Timeform ratings and Trent Wells who has been on board to last two starts maintains the ride.

Jooli Lad who has been below par in his last couple looks the main danger and these two are likely to fight it out.

The Ciaron Maher-trained runner fell at Casterton two back before running very poorly behind Redevelop at Sandown last time out.

Form prior to that was good and leading jumps jockey Steven Pateman goes back on board and expecting improvement form him today.

Sanctuary rounds out the main chances in the this small field. oo strong when winning at Warrnambool before safely held but running on well when third at Sandown on Aug 6. Going well and certainly stays under notice here.

Would not be surprised to see Universal Sound in the placings having run pretty well in recent times.

Narrowly beaten in a maiden Steeple at Warrnambool before even fourth at Sandown on Aug 6. Had a few chances to break through but isn't out of this. Each-way chance.
