Timeform Preview - Geelong August 30

3 minute read

Clockwork Orange will look to build on her last start win when she lines up in Class 1 company over 1300m at Geelong today.

The team Hayes & Dabernig-trained runner appreciated the drop in grade to claim victory at Pakenham Synthetic last start following some very sound form in tougher company prior.

Clockwork Orange goes up to the 1300m for the first time and having had just the four runs to date has plenty of scope for further improvement.

Drawn well in barrier 4 and should settle just off the pace and winning jockey Regan Bayliss remains on board today.

Looking to work through the grades, the stable must have a good opinion of Clockwork Orange having raced her in much tougher than this previously and she can continue her winning form against these.

Mamzelle Tess has been far from disgraced in both outings this campaign, returning with a solid run at Caulfield before finishing just outside the placings at Bendigo last time out.

Gets in well today with the 3kg claim for apprentice jockey and her form this campaign measures up well against her rivals.

Won’t be too far away in the run from barrier 7 with the only concern her modest effort at the 1300m, unplaced from two previous runs.

Hetuka Zarsho has been freshened since a midfield finish on the synthetic at Pakenham last start and he goes up to the 1300m today.

Placed over 1400m last campaign so the extra trip should not pose any trouble and on best form he looks well suited today.

Probably needs to improve on his two runs this campaign but has shown previously he has ability and is not to be discounted.

Walled City has won two of his four outings this campaign, the most recent at this C/D.

Both previous wins have come at this course and would not be surprised to see him right in the finish again today.

Good Luck!
