Timeform Preview - Taree November 15

3 minute read

Hawaiian Rose has been racing in good form of late and looks hard to beat when she lines up in the Class 3 Handicap (1600m) at Taree today.

The Grant Allard-trained runner followed up a fourth placing with a very good run for second over this trip at Gosford last start and she drops back in grade off that effort.

Possesses a terrific record over the mile winning two and placing on a further two occasions from five starts and she has won at this course previously.

Hawaiian Rose will push forward again today from the good draw to take up the lead and winning jockey Serg Lisnyy goes back on board.

The five-year-old mare rates well against her rivals today on her recent form and if she runs up to her last start effort she will prove too good for these.

Spinning Dawn looms as the main danger having been very consistent in all four runs this campaign.

Finished runner up at Hawkesbury two starts back before running well enough for fourth at the same course last start.

Also drops back in grade following that effort and despite not having won in over a year now he has a fairly solid record over the mile and drawn well in barrier 3 shapes up as a big danger.

Will need to carry the top weight of 61kg without a claim but he still measures up on weight adjusted ratings and stays under strong notice.

No Concerns has been fairly consistent in recent times and is also looking for her first win in over a year.

Had just the one run over the mile previously when well beaten at Scone last start and steps up considerably in trip for this.

Robert Thompson remains on board and with a solid enough record at the course would not be surprised to see her in the finish.

Serious Hoffa was well beaten at Newcastle last start and he has been mixing his form in tougher company of late.

Runs well over the mile and taking on easier today can certainly make his presence felt in this field.

Good Luck!
