L'Autonomie was the star of the show once again at Auteuil recording her fifteenth Group victory on Sunday impressively winning the G3 Prix Hypothèse Hurdle (3900m)

Jockey Angelo Zuliani sent the mare straight to the lead from the start, passing the large Auteuil crowd when jumping with style at the first.

The pace looked fair throughout where at the halfway mark six lengths covered the field. Packed together all horses were jumping and travelling well. On the downhill run after passing the stands, L'Autonomie's one and only error was jumping out to the right however lost no ground with the field copying her technique.

Continuing to jump in excellent fashion Zuliani decided to take the star mare to the outside hedge side of the track along the back straight. She maintained her advantage turning for home where Colbert du Berlais looked the main danger closing on the inside. However, the class of the François Nicolle trained mare became visible in the home straight taking the field to the stand side. She quickly accelerated away approaching the final hurdle and there was never any doubt about her win. The daughter of Blue Bresil again stamped authority scoring impressively, going right away from her rivals.

Angelo Zuliani deservedly celebrated in style passing the winning post. This was the seventeenth success for the seven-year-old from twenty-three career outings. L'Autonomie won this event twelve months ago which began an excellent season for her with wins on every start including the G2 Prix Léon Rambaud Hurdle (4300m), a 30-length triumph in the G1 Grande Course de Haies d'Auteuil Hurdle (5100m) before her only defeat in 2021 when runner-up in the G1 Grand Prix d'Automne Hurdle (4800m) in November.

Sire, Blue Bresil showed plenty of ability both on the flat (delivering two placings at Group Two level) and over hurdles which included a Group Three second behind future G1 Cheltenham Gold Cup (5200m) winner, Long Run. He has been producing high-class jumping performers with the likes of Cheltenham runners and thirteen Individual National Hunt Black Type Winners to date (including G1 Hurdle Winner Mick Jazz, G2 Hurdle and Chase Winner Le Prezien and G2 Chase Winner Royal Pagaille).

Will the L'Autonomie campaign prove successful on this occasion? Time will tell.
