Champion Hong Kong sprinter Little Bridge has passed away after suffering a bout of colic.
He suffered an initial bout shortly after arriving at the Living Legends complex for retired champion racehorses in Melbourne and was successfully treated at the Werribee Equine Clinic.
Little Bridge was due to return to Living Legends, but suffered a second and more serious bout that claimed his life.
Bred by the Hawkins family’s Wentwood Grange, Little Bridge won 10 of his 22 starts with his career highlight his victory in the G1 King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2012.
