Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Juvenile maiden fillies with four of the nine racing for the first time. The experience should win out though, principally through (7) SUHYANG MIIN. After a good trial, she ran 4th on debut in a very similar race to this over 1200M on October 26th, racing handy throughout. With only a bit of natural improvement, she will be the one to beat. (2) WONDERFUL THATCH has a 4th and a 5th from two starts so far at 1000M and 1200M. She settled midfield both times before running on, and she can run into the money here. (1) CUPID K has also hinted at ability across two outings. She improved to 5th in the second of them and can continue to make progress in this company. Of the debut-makers, (4) JUNMA FORCE and (9) RAON SILENCE were the best in trials and are the most likely to make an immediate impact.

Selections (7) Suhyang Miin (2) Wonderful Thatch (1) Cupid K (4) Junma Force

Seoul Race 2: Class 4 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

Imported maidens here with three of the eleven racing for the first time. After trialing up behind last week's maiden winner Taekhan, (6) BLUE PIORA debuted on October 26th and came from off the pace to run a solid 3rd, beating a couple of today's rivals in the proves. The slight step up in trip can suit and she can win here. (3) ELDORADO HAENAM was a trial winner and was then 2nd on debut at 1200M at the end of September, a long way behind winner Final K, who followed up with 2nd place in a Listed race. He has had nine weeks off since so comes in fresh and should pose a real threat. (2) SURENESS is another who debuted well, running a solid 3rd at 1200M on October 10th, showing close to the pace. He draws well to lead and can be in this a long way. (8) MIGHTY FREE and (11) WHIZ CAMPAIGN are others who can improve on fair debuts.

Selections (6) Blue Piora (3) Eldorado Haenam (2) Sureness (8) Mighty Free

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Competitive looking race. (11) SMART A ONE gets the nod having run 3rd on debut over this distance on October 26th with a couple of today's rivals behind. She overcame the same wide draw to get on pace and she can do so again, and this time come out on top. (8) POWER MONSTER was 4th in that same race, improving on a 7th place on debut. He only has a length to find on Smart A One and while he doesn't benefit from an apprentice claim this time, meaning he Comes up 4kg in the weights, he can be a danger. (4) DUSON EUTTEUM did nothing in two starts in August and September but looked a much better proposition when leading for most of the way in a trial earlier this month, running home 3rd and stopping the clock in a good time. If she brings that form to the races, she can challenge. (6) PASA KING and debut-maker (2) GRAND FLYING are others who could have a say.

Selections (11) Smart A One (8) Power Monster (4) Duson Eutteum (6) Pasa King

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1700M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(5) BLACK SIDAE shapes as a warm favourite in this small field. He has recorded her two best performances since being stepped up to this distance with back-to-back 3rd place finishes in his latest two racing close to the pace both times. He draws nicely to lead again and can go all the way. (3) SPEED CARA did nothing on debut back in March and then didn't reappear until October 27th. Then he looked much better, running a solid 4th over 1400M. He should strip fitter for that run, the step up in trip can suit, and he can go close. (6) NAEGILUIYEONGGWANG was a much-improved 2nd at this distance on November 9th. Third up this preparation, he can be peaking fitness wise and is a place chance again. (7) MERIT SUNSHINE and (8) SAVANA CHARLIE others in the hunt for the minors.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Two standouts here and both got their maiden wins at the respective latest starts. For (3) HANSEN BRACING, it had been coming as he steadily improved across his four outings, culminating in victory over this distance on November 3rd when handy throughout and stopping the clock in a time a full second quicker than any of the others here have managed. The step up in class therefore shouldn't be an issue. Not should it be for (2) SAENAE CLASSIC. It took him just two goes to get his maiden win which came at this distance on October 19th when leading from gate to wire. He comes down 2kgs in the weights, draws well, and is the main danger. (11) HYEUKMUSANG is up in class following back-to-back runner-up finishes in his opening two races, most recently behind Saenae Classic on October 19th. He is down in the weights and the wide draw shouldn't be a problem. As for those with prior experience at this level, (9) YUSUBUJAENGSEON and (4) MR. POWER are the standouts.

Selections (3) Hansen Bracing (2) Saenae Classic (11) Hyeukmusang (9) Yusubujaengseon

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(8) CUPID IT was an also-ran in the Rookie Stakes but bounced back to score his maiden win at start number three over 1200M on October 13th, making all and winning by as many as he pleased. He comes up in class and slightly in trip but given the manner of that victory, he has to go on top again here. (1) WONDERFUL SEEKING was a class and distance winner on October 13th, settling back early before finishing off well. She comes up 3kg in the weights but that's balanced by a good draw, and she can be competitive. (4) CHEONGUCHAT is still a maiden but has no fewer than eleven top five finishes from his thirteen starts. He can race on pace or from behind and he'll be there or thereabouts again. Last start winner (7) THEME TANSAENG, along with (2) KHAS, are others in the placing frame.

Selections (8) Cupid It (1) Wonderful Seeking (4) Cheonguchat (7) Theme Tansaeng

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(9) DAESEONG STAR was an also-ran in the Rookie Stakes but has bounced back in fine style with a 2nd and then a win in two subsequent starts. That win was over 1400M, making all, so he comes up to the mile for the first time as well as coming up in class, but neither should be an issue, and he can win again. (7) GOMANARU comes in off a 3rd place at this class over 1800Mwhen coming from well off the pace. He doesn't win out of turn, but his placing record is excellent and in this company he can go close again. CC Wong is back in town and partners (8) GOOD SEONBONG for his first ride back. He has a 3rd and a 5th from two tries at a mile, both at this class and should offer some each-way value. (5) BEST DAERO and (3) ORAEDAHAMKKE others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 8: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Fillies only here. (4) KHAN NUT made her breakthrough at start number four on November 3rd, leading all the way over 1300M. She comes up in class and slightly in trip but in restricted filly company neither should be an issue, and she can win again. (10) HERO JILJU got her maiden win two starts back before running 3rd on her first try at this class over 1200M on November 9th. A couple of previous efforts at this distance didn't yield success but she is in better form now and can be a danger. (11) SINUI YEOIN will need a line drawn through her latest which was no better than fair. At the start before though she was 2nd at this class and distance and that's enough to make her a chance here. (8) WONDERFUL SPIRIT got her sole win to date over this distance. She has a strong finish on her and should be challenging late here. (3) SEMYEONG LADY another to consider.

Selections (4) Khan Nut (10) Hero Jilju (11) Sinui Yeoin (8) Wonderful Spirit

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Competitive race. (1) STUNNING LADY was a bit below par when 5th of eleven behind Best Maya, who blew the race apart, last time out. Two starts back though she was a good 3rd at the class and the distance and on that form she has as good a chance as any. (3) LOVE COWGIRL may not have won since her very first race, but she is ultra-consistent and has been working back towards another success with a 3rd and a 2nd from her latest two, both at this class and distance. She likes to race on pace, so is very well drawn, she has the fastest time among these for the 1400M, and there is plenty to recommend about her. (7) GOLDEN DRAGON enters having won a slow race at this class over 1800M on October 20th. He mixes his form, but he still looks nicely in here and shouldn't be far away. (5) GOLD SIDAE and (2) SMART SOCKS among plenty of others who can't be completely dismissed.

Seoul Race 10: Class 4 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(4) NEW DOLKONG broke through at start number eight over 1800M on November 3rd, coming from off the pace and sweeping home strongly. He comes up a full 3kg in the weights, and also drops slightly back in trip, but he could well have too much again. (9) BOLLIN has a 3rd and a 4th from two starts at this class, both over a mile. He was 4th on his solitary try at this distance back at class 5 level in June and under a light weight, he can get to the speed here and be in this a long way. (5) YONGAM MARENGO and (6) DEVIL K came home 5th and 4th respectively when they raced each other over 1800M on October 27th. Yongam Marengo was the beaten favourite that day but got further back then he likes early. With a better start, he will be closer while Devil K, who was a big price that day, warrants more respect this time. (2) VISION POWER, 6th in that same race, is another placing chance.

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (2000M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

We'll take a chance on (5) ZIGGURAT here. While he hasn't quite live up to his early promise, he comes in off a useful 6th of fourteen in the Listed Ilgan Sports at the end of September and he has won up to 1800M and class 3. This is his first go in class 2 and at 2000M, but he is nicely in at the weights, and it may suit. (1) JJARITHAN JAYU has won two of his latest three with the other being a 3rd place in a tough Trophy race on international weekend. His latest win was emphatic over 1800M and while that brings him up in class without much of a weight drop, the manner of it suggests he can repeat. (6) JEOMSUNI GO comes out of tough Group race for fillies and mares over this distance where she ran a creditable 6th. Moon Se-young, who has won on her twice returns to the ride, and she looks nicely in here. Korean Derby winner (9) EUNPA SARANG, along with (4) SPEED ONE are the other chances.
