Promising five year old galloper, Gulf Eagle should make a successful step up to Class 3 company and complete the winning hat trick over 1400m this Saturday.

With three wins from five local starts, Gulf Eagle  has made a rapid progression through the grades since breaking his maiden tag in only his second race start on June 2. Since finishing 3rd in a heat of the SLTC 4YO Series on June 30, the Richard Lines prepared gelding hasn't looked back posting successive victories since then.

Stepping up to the 1400m journey for the first time last start, GULF EAGLE travelled well throughout for a decisive 2.5 length win. With the class upgrade, he will carry 4kg less and looks hard to beat with the light weight of 52kg.
