The six-year-old, trained by David Simcock, has performed with credit in top company in Dubai, Canada and the United States this year.

His latest effort was one of his best when he was third to Karakontie in the Breeders' Cup Mile at Santa Anita.

"I am very happy with Trade Storm and it is all systems go with him for Hong Kong," said Simcock.

"He has been an absolute model of consistency this year. His one blip was in the Dubai Duty Free, when we had problems with his feet beforehand.

"He has been very exciting and taken us all over the world this year."

David Redvers, racing advisor for owners Qatar Racing, said: "It is very much the plan for Trade Storm to contest the Hong Kong Mile.

"He has been a real flag-bearer for Qatar Racing and has been running well all year.

"He has been all over the world for us and must be eligible for frequent flyer points.

"His last two starts in Canada and at the Breeders' Cup have to be considered as the best of his career.

"He has been moving well and is in really good form. Hopefully, he will run another big race in Hong Kong."
