Monday's Ludlow tips

A look at Monday afternoon's Ludlow form where seven go to post in the £18,000 Boyne Cup.

There are plenty with chances in the feature event over the jumps at Ludlow (3.00) – the Boyne Cup.

Annsam is worth another go after scoring at Kempton in January. He is a course winner, but he he did not get the correct ride when seventh of 13 in 3m handicap there 37 days ago.

Bobhopeornohope was 10 lengths ahead of Annsam that day after jockey Adam Wedge rode the eight-year-old too aggressively. Wedge is aboard again and should have learnt.

Annsam is also a winner over the distance and a reliable jumper. But it will be hard to reverse the form on Bobhopeornohope.

Kim Bailey's charge is a dual course winner and is only a couple of pounds higher in the weights than when beating subsequent winner Volcano here in December.

Bobhopeornohope came up short but was certainly not disgraced when fourth in the Coral Trophy at Kempton on his latest appearance and and he can make hay here.

Dibble Decker has had the cheekpieces applied and he bids for a hat-trick after a pair of 2m4f handicap wins at Huntingdon. He's up another 4 lb but this longer trip is likley to suit.

Good Boy Bobby could have the measure of them all. He is on a decent-looking mark and this is much easier than when 13th in the Ultima Handicap at Cheltenham 20 days ago. He raced wide that day and was in touch with leaders the leaders three out.

He was successful twice at Wetherby last season, including the Rowland Meyrick and he will be better for his run at Cheltenham and could be the one to get home..

Zamparelli won the Eddie Mapp Memorial Open Hunters' Chase (4.30) in 2021. But he pulled up in a point when last seen out in February.

Fix At All should be a big player. Michael Scudamore's seven-year-old looked to be losing his way in handicaps, but a switch to the hunter chase sphere appears to have rejuvenated him and he won over course and distance two weeks ago.

Bletchley Castle took this event 12 months ago, but has been off 11 months before being pulled up in hunter chase at Southwell.

Diligent could be the pick. He was second of seven in hunter chase at Wincanton 33 days ago and a repeat of that form will see him go very close.

He knows how to win. He was successful six times in 2021 for Nigel Hawke, five of which over fences and he won twice over hurdles last spring.
