Daddy Long Legs returned to winning ways for trainer Willie Mullins at Tipperary on Sunday. The son of Almanzor led throughout in the Grade Three Horse & Jockey Hotel Hurdle, an ideal start to a likely two mile campaign. State Man, who runs in the same Donnelly ownership, will be Mullins' number one choice over the minimum trip this season, but the team now hold a strong reserve option. It was a first Graded success for the gelding, adding to his Listed handicap success at the Punchestown Festival back in April.

July Cup winner Mill Stream has returned to full work ahead of a tilt at the six-furlong Group 1 British Champions Sprint. The four-year-old hasn't been seen since finishing fifth behind Lazzat in the Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville at the start of August, but will be aiming for a third win of the campaign after landing the Group 2 1895 Duke Of York Stakes and the Group 1 July Cup. The son of Gleneagles completed a six furlong gallop along with stablemate El Bodon on the Rowley Mile racecourse, and is expected to work again on Friday.

Entries for the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes were released on Monday, with Godolphin choosing to supplement the Group 1 Middle Park winner Shadow Of Light set for £35,000. He faces a provisional field of eight, including antepost favourite The Lion In Winter representing trainer Aidan O'Brien and stablemate Ancient Truth, successful in the Group 2 July Stakes.
