This G1 at Hanshin had 18 lively colts and not surprisingly there were several skirmishes and traffic jams along the way.
The result went to Admire Zoom, another son of Maurice with Yuga Kawada in the irons.
More fancied runner Museum Mile took second and that run augurs well for next year. Third was Land Of Chaos by Silver State who was the beneficiary of some of the traffic problems – he was on 48.8, and Daishin Ra by Satono Diamond was the early leader and held on to finish fourth, having started on 180.4.
Favourite Arte Veloce suffered two (at least) bits of interference and had to be steadied. He didn't have the best start and Take kept him to the rear of the field which inevitably meant there was a lot of traffic when he tried to go forward,
For the record the first four of the fillies in the race last weekend would have beaten the boys!
