Snow Fairy superb

3 minute read

Back to Kyoto, Snow Fairy put to bed a season without a win by coming with a blistering turn of foot to win the Queen Elizabeth 2 Commemorative Cup for the second year running.

Ryan Moore rode an excellent race as no horse has ever won coming from the widest gate, so he settled

her into the middle of the field and then brought her forward as the charge came and then brought her

through between horses to win from local heroine Aventura with Apapane showing a welcome return to

form to finish third. Whale Capture got the trip well and finished fourth, but that would be her maximum

trip.

Dancing Rain did not get the best of running and wasn't even in a threatening position.
