Rocket Man went to the lead and settled well and then came round the turn into the straight, got one quick reminder from Barend Vorster and went charging home with consumate ease, lengthening his stride when Rapido Star and Tuxedo Moon had ideas about challenging and now it's off to Dubai and the Golden Shaheen.
On Friday Nandowra led all the way in the Open over the 1600m AWT to win by 1 1/2 lengths from Superczar, with a tight go for the minors with the verdict going to Power Blitz.
