The third race of the evening has just been called off after Fox Hunt broke down in the straight and there was no possibility of the horses coming down there on the second round.
The race was the first running of the newest race on the card, the Dubai Gold Cup. Fox Hunt, trained by Mohammed Al Zarooni for Godolphin, was ridden by Silvestre de Sousa, who fortunately appears to be unhurt.
The first race went to our tip the former American Champion Purebred Arabian TM Fred Texas who was easily the best horse in the race.
The second race saw Frankie Dettori get his 7th Godolphin Mile when African Story put in a great run to take this yet again for Godolphin. Viscount Nelson came storming home but too late to catch the winner, and Red Jaz, owned by Ronnie Arculli, who also owns Red Cadeaux, got third for the second year running.
