We have enjoyed some good racing and some profitable results.
On Friday we chose the wrong roughie in the Duchess of Cambridge as Arabian Dusk emerge the winner on 12/1 followed home by the more popular horses I Mountain Breeze and Heave's Gate.
Then our lucky horse Porta Fortuna did the right thing in the Falmounth even though he was a short-priced favourite. Unfortunately Running Lion finished up at the wrong end of the field and there was no explanation offered by trainers or jockey. And unfortunately we did not have the trio as second Singalong was on 22/1 and Vandeek 4/1.
Saturday was a red-letter day for William Buick as he rode a four-time and rode his 100th major winner. Two of the four races which he won were the features, the first being the Superlative which we won on Ancient Truth and the second the July Cup which he won on Mill Stream for Jane Chapple Hyam. For the record The Parthenon and Pentle Bay were both scratched from the Superlative.
