Ready To Win

BLACKBOOKERS & TRIALS

Our Blackbook service provides punters with a great way to keep tabs on horses to follow. Remember you can always click on a horse from the Racing And Sports Database to blackbook it or go straight to our Blackbook section and maintain your stable runners there.

We’ve identified a few here from the last week which we think can make us some money in the near future.

Blackbookers

Jabali

While the winner (Risen From Doubt) was obviously very impressive, Jabali's performance to run second also had plenty of merit after he appeared quite green and looks to have plenty of scope for improvement. Forced to race without cover throughout he really hit the line well over the concluding stages and should only progress further when stepping up in trip. The overall time out of the race was solid enough and this year's renewal has been rated one of the strongest in recent years. At this early stage it appears a good race to follow moving forward.

She's Clean

Progressive mare who has continued to raise the bar with each career start given her last start effort in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes successful in recording a new career peak. Coming from behind Arinosa when turning from home, she really hit the line well late and got within half of length of her stablemate at the finish. Having placed in 13 of her 18 career starts (including eight victories), this daughter of Redoute's Choice is proven to keep improving throughout her preparation and is definitely one to follow.

Triallers

Ichihara - Tuesday 8 October @ Wyong

Been happy with both her starts back this time in and the form out of the Gr3 Show County and the Gr3 Sheraco Stakes looks strong moving forward. Not seen since mid-September, she was surprisingly the worst into stride in this trial before she quickly made her way through the field to take up the running. Although the overall time was not the quickest of the day she did it easily and recorded one of the quickest closing sectionals. Two of her three career peak performances have come when racing third up and judging by this trial she appears to be well on track to repeat this trend.

Eligible Blackbookers Racing This Weekend

Some of the recent runners that have been Blackbooked by us are engaged this weekend and we think should be included in your punting thoughts.

The little sister of Royal Descent can put her name up in lights Picture: Racing and Sports
Randwick Race 3 - 5 Surge Ahead

The 3yo was impressive winning at Warwick Farm after being slowly out and this race is a good test as to his right level of ability. The very close relation to Smart Missile can race near the speed again and he’s in the betting in a very even contest.

Randwick Race 3 - 8 Chateau Lafaite

In the same race as Surge Ahead, the full sister to Royal Descent tries to make her own career and has not done much wrong in two efforts. She looks suited at the weights and will have last call on the leaders as long as you can get back and run on.

Randwick Race 6 - 6 Drago

In what looks a competitive Spring Champion Stks, Drago gets his chance to show his wares. He does look like he’s been needing ground for some time but was outsprinted in the Gloaming. Placing in that race but not winning it has been the key to the Spring Champion in years past.

Randwick Race 8 - 9 Lucky Lago

Showed the benefit getting up in trip when a nose winner at Warwick Farm a fortnight ago. Obviously this is her toughest race to date in G3 company but if the Matriarch is the target, she needs to go mighty close here.

Doomben Race 2 - 1 Tail And All

Had absolutely no luck at Eagle Farm last time and surely this is his race. This is only his second attempt at the mile (last time being the first) but you’d have to think he’d have won it with more fortune. Is the highest rated horse in this by some way and will be tough to beat.
