Timeform Global Rankings
Timeform have released their Global Rankings for 2013.
Topping the rankings on a Timeform rating of 134 are leading females Black Caviar and Treve, along with gelding Wise Dan, the top performer in North America for the second year running.
Black Caviar added a further three wins in her native Australia to her record in 2013, stretching her unbeaten run to 25 before being retired in April after an unblemished career. Her peak rating of 136 (recorded in 2012) makes her the joint-highest rated filly or mare (alongside Allez France and Habibti) aged three or above in Timeform's 65-year history.
The French-trained Treve also has a flawless record, and she recorded an outstanding performance for a three-year-old filly when beating Orfevre by five lengths in the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp. Treve will be back in 2014, when a trip to Royal Ascot is reportedly on the cards.
Wise Dan, who looked at least as good as ever in landing six of his seven outings in the latest season, is also expected to stay in training as a seven-year-old in 2014, when an attempt to match Goldikova's feat of three wins in the Breeders' Cup Mile will presumably be on the agenda.
