R&S Contributing Editor Chris Scholtz takes a look at tomorrow’s Sydney racing.

SELECTIONS

Randwick Race 1 - 6 As Needed

This exciting prospect takes another step towards bigger goals in this suitable BM85 event after showing his natural talent first-up in this same grade over 1300m at this course on August 9 when he did all that was required to record a soft win. His record now stands at four wins from five starts including a victory in soft ground and he can only improve further on what he showed here when resuming.

Randwick Race 3 - 7 Better Land

Showed he had the class to win good races when he found the line better than any rival for impressive first-up second in the Listed Rosebud over 1200m at this course on August 9 after tough run facing the breeze from the start. Easily won his only previous start in the wet in Victoria and the expectation is he will make considerable improvement from his first-up effort at this track.

Randwick Race 4 - 2 Bring Me The Maid

Ranked right up there with the best fillies last season and just might be the one who goes right on with it this season. She has been well prepared for her return by two excellent trials at Doomben and Hawkesbury and she will have no concerns with the going after showing outstanding ability on the wet tracks in the Magic Night and Golden Slipper in the Autumn. Banking that she is set to come back bigger and stronger.
