Chris Scholtz - Early Thoughts

R&S Contributing Editor Chris Scholtz takes a look at tomorrow’s Sydney racing.

SELECTIONS

Rosehill Race 3 - 4 Ghisoni

Odds are short for a filly coming off a midweek maiden win on debut but she looked a real professional disposing of a big field at Warwick Farm with a lot of authority, delivering on the promise she had shown in her trials.

Natural improver who has it all in front of her and should measure up to this company.

Rosehill Race 5 - 3 Dublin Lass

Excellent first-up second over 1100m at Flemington during Cup Week when grabbed late by a wide swooper after she came down the wrong side of the straight course.

She is a genuine mare who boasts a win at her only start at this course and with the benefit of her Melbourne run is set to give her classy stablemate a real test with her 6kg weight advantage.

Rosehill Race 9 - 14 Puzzling Wonder

Not seen since a smart first-up win over 1200m at the Wyong Cup carnival in early September but looks primed to perform well fresh from a good draw after a soft fourth in a recent Randwick trial on a heavy track.

He has built a strong record in just six starts and boasts a win over this trip at his only Rosehill start. Hold plenty of upside and appeals as one of the better value gambles on this program.

Metaphorical - Worked home strongly first-up. Set for a good campaign.
