Talented sprinter Va Pensiero has been retired from racing after the recurrence of a tendon injury.
The stakes-winning sprinter has been withdrawn for tomorrow’s Hyland Race Colours Challenge Stakes at Randwick.
Trainer informed Racing NSW stewards of the injury to Va Pensiero on Friday afternoon.Va Pensiero had spent 11 months on the sidelines before his resuming run in the Black Caviar Lightning last month.
The five-year-old stallion was a three-time winner including Group 3 victories in the San Domenico Stakes and Run To The Rose Stakes as a three-year-old.
