Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 16.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Caulfield, Morphettville and Ascot.
CAULFIELD: RACE 7 @ 3:45 PM
The Group 1 Thousand Guineas. AELIANA (2) couldn't have been much more impressive winning the G3 Carbine Club at Flemington on Derby Day, sitting back and finishing powerfully to win by 3.5 lengths in fast overall time. She'll be back again from the gate but if she runs to that, or even improves, they'll struggle to beat her. ZEITUNG (4) won the G3 Vanity at Flemington on the same day, over 1400m. Aeliana ran a faster time rating but Zeitung did win impressively herself, really lengthening nicely to score well. She draws ideally and looks a danger. LOVELYCUT (10) was very good when working in the Vanity having hit the line strongly fresh. Out to a mile looks ideal for her now. TOO DARN LIZZIE (1) won the Prelude here two back, struggling in the Vanity. If she gets conditions to suit she can give a bold sight. MATISSE (7) had her chance in the Vanity but ran well and has each-way claims.
SELECTIONS: Aeliana to win.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 5 @ 3:58 PM
ARUGAMAMA (2) returned to her best form last start when beaten narrowly over 2500m at Morphettville. Looks much better placed over these longer trips and will appreciate getting 2kgs off. Pannell reunites and is 1/1 aboard. The one to beat. SIR KINGSFORD (1) is yet to strike through this campaign but has been knocking on the door. Is yet to be tested over this journey but does have two wins over 2000m in weaker grades. Will roll forward again and be in this for a very long way. YURI ROYALE (3) has good form around a few of these runners and now gets a nice pull at the weights over a favoured track and trip. Don't underestimate. GLENS TOP CAT (6) strips fitter fourth-up and will appreciate the added trip. In the mix. SELECTIONS: Arugamama to win.
ASCOT: RACE 6 @ 4:15 PM
Time for the Champion Fillies and FLOWER OF GOLD (4) lands on top. She was luckless in the Burgess Queen when a fast-finishing third as favourite there. Arguably should've won that race and maps for a similar time of it here. Should be winning with more luck this time. RON'S FINALFLUTTER (2) had the momentum up down the outside and held on for second in the Burgess Queen last start in a strong effort out in trip for the first time. Now up to the mile, though it doesn't appear an issue. Will likely be back in the run again, but she'll be strong late and is the obvious danger. STORYVILLE (5) has absolutely no luck in the Burgess Queen and went to the line hard-held under Pike. A better draw this time can see her sit closer in the run and a sharp turnaround in form wouldn't surprise. DIVINE IMPACT (3) looks a progressive filly and won't be far away. DIAMOND DANCER (7) set up a strong tempo in the Burgess Queen and looks on song for her grand final today. SELECTIONS: Keen on Flower Of Gold.
