Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Hawkesbury, Grafton, Pakenham, Sunshine Coast, Port Augusta, and Hobart.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 4 @ 1:50 PM

OUR LITTLE STAR (4) has race fitness on her side and a win looks imminent. Loomed up strongly when a narrow third over 1100m at Warwick Farm on July 10. Maps well again and should prove too good for these. AUSBRED MIMOSA (2) Blake Ryan-trained mare resuming from a six-month spell. Comes to had quickly and has placed in town. Ran second in a recent 800m trial here on July 8. Sure to be strong late. WINGS OF DESIRE (10) and WRITTEN SCANDAL (11) are both on debut and each have trial wins to their names. Watch betting.
SELECTIONS: Our Little Star to win.

GRAFTON: RACE 3 @ 1:20 PM

MISS MOOV (9) was a shade unlucky when runner-up at this track last week and backs up here with an ideal gate. Only has to repeat the effort and she'll take beating. HE'S POPLAR (3) is on debut and he wasn't asked for anything serious in his trial appearance at Ballina. Watch betting. SANTOS EL HALPER (5) hasn't had a lot of luck of late and with a 3kg claim again has a good chance to feature in the finish. WHAT ARTISTS DO (13) and DEE STORMED (1) are next best.
SELECTIONS: Miss Moov to win. Trifecta 9-1,3,5,13/1,3,5,13.

PAKENHAM: RACE 3 @ 1:25 PM

SING FOR PEACE (3) will take plenty of beating here. He made his jumps debut last start when heavily supported at Warrnambool, running very well but just going down by a head as the $1.90 favourite. Better for that experience and his flat form prior was excellent. CADRE DU NOIR (1) has been unplaced in two jumps runs to date but has trialled well leading into this. Pateman goes aboard and on his day he's a very good stayer. WHISKEY TANGO (5) is going well, beaten as favourite last start in a Sale hurdle but not by far. Won't need to improve much here to go a couple better. NASSAK DIAMOND (7) brings solid flat form for her hurdle debut and can figure while WHISKEY JACK (4) could sneak into the finish.
SELECTIONS: Sing For Peace to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 3 @ 1:33 PM

LADY LUCIFER (2) just ran into one better over this track and trip when facing the starter for the first time and will have derived a stack of benefit from that day at the races. Maloney sticks in the irons and looks ready to shed the maiden tag. SUPER DAISY (5) hit the top-four in all three starts in her first preparation and has since been given time to mature. No surprise to see her return in winning order. PRINCESS MONEYBAGS (6) failed on debut but was very well supported in the betting. Where there's smoke there's fire and should be kept safe. TALAKAI (11) resumes here but has tuned up for this with a recent Doomben trial and must be respected from the Heathcote stable. Worth including while fresh.
SELECTIONS: Lady Lucifer to break through.

PORT AUGUSTA: RACE 7 @ 3:45 PM

RUSTYDUSTYSUNSHINE (6) wound up strongly only to be denied by a head here last start. Boasts a handy record over the track and trip and the engagement of Milnes is noteworthy. Bold showing anticipated. MELMAC (2) was well below his best here last start when always well back but had been ticking along nicely prior. Best figures measure up and he can bounce back quickly over a trip he likes. SASSY ANGEL (10) comes in off a 28-day break after a disappointing effort here last start. Kept ticking over with a placing in a recent trial at Balaklava. Can turn things around. UNICORNY (7) strips fitter third-up and is worth keeping safe.
SELECTIONS: Rustydustysunshine the one to beat.

HOBART: RACE 8 @ 4:16 PM

JOHNNIE PINCH (4) is a Listed placegetter over a middle distance and resumed with a near-miss over a sprint as favourite. The mile is ideal now and he has plenty up his sleeve. Maps well and is the one to beat. FIGHTING FLOYD (2) did a big job winning the 68 and then didn't have the best of it over this trip. Finds easier and has been kept on the fresh side. He can get back on track. AGNETE (5) peaks and has been knocking on the door. She will be sharper over this distance and watch for her late. BOUNTY BAY (9) finished ahead of the above in the same contest. She will be better for that and Newitt is a key jockey switch. She's in the mix as well. SELECTIONS: Backing Johnnie Pinch.
