Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Ballina, Quirindi and Hamilton.

BALLINA: RACE 7 @ 5:45 PM

IRISH GIFT (2) started at evens but got too far back and could only manage fourth last start over 1262m at this track. Just missed the run prior over today's journey. Draws the fence and gets back to a preferable trip so this looks his race to lose. SHOWRATA (6) led but compounded and finished well back over 1350m at Warwick recently. Suspect there might be a bit more to offer from this Kris Lees-trained gelding. SHANNON'S LEGACY (10) last raced when down the track on debut in heavy going at Kembla in May. In a new stable and is worth watching for a betting push. TWINKLE TIME (14) returned last start and ran the best race of her three to date, beaten just 2.5 lengths over this trip at the Gold Coast. Good each-way hope. COMANCHE'S PROPHET (4) is a market watch on debut.
SELECTIONS: Irish Gift a good thing in the last.

QUIRINDI: RACE 7 @ 5:30 PM

THREETIMESALADY (1) improving mare with the three wins from 15 starts. Undefeated this track and gets nice weight relief with the 4kg claim. Up in trip second-up when a courageous winner over 1300m at Narromine on November 24. Has the ability to win again. ARLIEBEL (3) disappointed in all three runs back and expecting more with his good figures at this track and trip. At her top now and leading rider engaged in this weaker contest. INJADA (8) returning after four-and-a-half months in the paddock. Has the two trials under the belt and no surprise to see him sprint well fresh with the claim. MISS NICOLINI (5) handy mare resuming. Will drift back from the inside draw and storm home late. Each way.
SELECTIONS: Threetimesalady to win.

HAMILTON: RACE 6 @ 4:00 PM

CHIMED (1) led and won by a space at Mortlake, followed by a near miss at The Valley in stronger than this. He settled back in the field in that and expect him to be back on the pace today. Suited and rates to take beating. GALLOPING GURU (2) didn't have the best of it at Donald but lifted his figures again. Presents at peak fitness and is a quinella hope. STARDOM AWAAYTS (6) comes out of the Chimed race at The Valley beaten 3.6L. He will improve on that and his best would see him in the finish. PIERCING SKY (3) peaks and is going well enough to consider. Has to come back 4000m but he will race forward and see it right out.
SELECTIONS: Backing Chimed to win.
