Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 13.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Rosehill, Bendigo, Doomben, Murray Bridge, Belmont and Launceston.
ROSEHILL: RACE 6 @ 5:30 PM
DRIFT NET (7) was well backed first-up over 1150m at the Kensington track and had every chance but peaked late and found a couple better. Her form at or around this trip is hard to fault, with two wins and two placings from four tries. Just needs luck from a sticky gate to be right in this. LITTLE BEGINNINGS (1) is back from a 31-week spell. Struggled at the end of last prep in Provincial Championship races. Won a recent Newcastle trial so he seems forward enough. Hard to beat at this level despite the gap between runs. GOLD CARD (8) comes here off a tidy win in open company at Taree recently. Distance specialist who still has improvement to come at the third run of the prep. PIERCING ARROW (5) has been freshened up since a poor run here six weeks back. Will roll forward and give a sight. The consistent CROP DUSTER (6) boasts a fine record at this journey. The wide gate is a negative but he is always competitive.
SELECTIONS: Drift Net to win the last.

BENDIGO: RACE 5 @ 3:20 PM
AKICITA (3) resumed with a sound run at Geelong in a strong BM64, only beaten two lengths into fifth. He'll relish the rise to 1300m having started favourite to beat subsequent G1 winner Southport Tycoon over the trip last time in. This looks a nice race for him. HARRY'S YACHT (10) has been good this time in, solid in strong company two back at Rosehill before a close up third here last time out. Won't need to improve much to take this out. PANTOJA (7) is a lightly raced gelding who won his maiden dominantly at Mornington last time out as a $1.35 favourite. Looks promising and can go on with it. JUST FOR SHOW (9) resumed with a narrow maiden win at Ballarat and could go on with it. STYLISH (11) next best.
SELECTIONS: Akicita to win.
DOOMBEN: RACE 2 @ 3:28 PM
TUFF TU MUS (1) hasn't done much wrong with two wins and two seconds from four starts to commence the career and strikes a very winnable contest here. Callow sticks on board to navigate from the sticky draw and rates the testing material against this lot. CARTWHEELS (3) may have suffered from the dreaded second-up syndrome last time out but the form prior was full of merit. Should be at her peak now third-up and looms as the main danger. The well-related WEST CORK (4) (half to G1 winner Qafila) got a well-deserved victory in dominant fashion at Ipswich and will have derived a stack of confidence from that win. Can go right on with the job now. CONNECTICUT (2) rounds out the selections.
SELECTIONS: Tuff Tu Mus to win again.
MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 1 @ 2:20 PM
PRESS EXPRESS (9) gave backers a bold sight and fought hard in the lane when finishing behind what looks a smart one first-up in town. Is sure to have come on with that run under the belt and will hunt across early again from the wide draw to race prominently. A repeat effort has her winning. COSMIC RIDE (11) lost her position at the corner when the poised to strike fresh and struggled to go on after that. Kept fresh for her second-up assignment as she drops back in trip and gets a key booking in Nunes. Watch for sharp improvement. NARALINGA (3) improved sharply in his second start when beaten a neck at Naracoorte. Raced much better with a change of tactics and should look to implement the same early aggression again. Expecting him to be in this for a very long way. Debutants ALLOY (10) and FRENCH DELICACY (12) have impressed in their trials and have key jockey bookings. Respect any market support.
SELECTIONS: Press Express to win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 9:05 AM
HOW PRETTY (8) just missed first-up at Northam when only 0.4L off the winner. Those figures were right up to her best there and she is open to further improvement as she resumed without a trial. Pike hops in the saddle now and if she can improve as anticipated, she'll be very hard to beat. LORD SHIVA (4) disappointed as favourite last start at Northam, though he was trending the right way prior to that. He comes into this off a freshen and it wouldn't surprise to see him bounce back in a big way today. LOST GRAVITY (1) was fair on resumption when rattling home strongly at Northam as favourite. The wide alley is a bit of a niggle, but Noske has a successful record aboard and he'll be flashing home strongly. TYCOON DEMON (2) has joined a new yard following a successful start to his career. Can put his best foot forward. BUTTERFLY HOUSE (7) is racing well this time in and has strong claims.
SELECTIONS: Keen on How Pretty.
LAUNCESTON: RACE 8 @ 10:00 PM
SUN HALO (1) was quickly back in the winner's circle winning comfortably over this distance. He can use the inside barrier to his advantage and keeps improving. Rates to be winning again. ELEGANTLY WRITTEN (4) won over 1400m bouncing back from a heavy track flop. Maps well again and will be in the finish. MONTE FLEUR (3) peaks and the mile will suit better. Pires sticks aboard and she can sit closer. She also has claims. ALWAYS A WINNER (2) brings a win and a nose defeat at this level. The 2kg claim remains handy but he needs some luck pushing over from a wide barrier.
SELECTIONS: Backing Sun Halo.
