ORANGE: RACE 4 @ 3:35 PM
MERCHANT LADY (5) has found the line well without threatening in her two runs this prep, the latest when third over 1250m at Newcastle. Nicely placed today and the step up in trip looks a good move. Ready to win. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (3) hasn't won for nearly a year but is nicely graded to make an impact today. Struggled in the Queanbeyan Cup last time after a close third in a BM82 over 1300m here the run prior. Definite contender. SEA OF FLAMES (1) disappointed in the Narromine Cup last start. Must be given another chance as he loves racing here, with three wins and a couple of placings from six visits. WESTERN FRONT (8) wasn't far away first-up over 1300m at this track and his second-up form is far better. Track specialist HOW'S IT KEV (4) is down in class and fitter for recent racing. Watch for a much better performance.
SELECTIONS: Backing Merchant Lady.

KEMPSEY: RACE 2 @ 2:45 PM
TEA OR COFFEE (5) resumed from a lengthy spell with a gritty third over 1200m at Tamworth on December 2. Further improved and the tongue-tie goes on from the good draw. This looks easier. NORTHERN BOOGIE (3) backs-up quickly after battling late when sixth over 1100m at Armidale on December 8. Blinkers come off and since been gelded. Genuine contender. NIKODY'S DIEGO (2) best effort for some time when sitting on the speed for a tenacious second over 1400m at Armidale on December 8. A repeat effort gives him each way claims. HIDEYO (7) is worth keeping safe fresh.
SELECTIONS: Tea Or Coffee for the win.
