Major metropolitan meeting today held at Flemington, Ascot, Wyong, Gold Coast, Murray Bridge.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 6 @ 3:08 PM

ENXUTO (12) looks primed here third up having placed in two runs back, finding the line strongly here last time behind a progressive horse in Dream All Day, only beaten 0.8 lengths. Expecting that form to hold up well and he should be set to peak now. ERSA (6) is a consistent type, getting the job done fresh before just finding one better at BM74 level second up at Caulfield Heath. She should get a nice run just off the pace here and prove hard to beat. RUMINATE (1) is in great form, winning last start at Caulfield Heath over 1500m having been close up in a few runs prior. He'll land in a nice spot from the gate and should be in the finish. LA FRACAS (7) is a lightly raced type who won well fresh at Kilmore before a close up fourth behind the progressive Haraldus. Out to 1600m looks ideal now. ONE LONG DAY (2) is in good form and should be thereabouts.
SELECTIONS: Enxuto to win.

ASCOT: RACE 4 @ 5:24 PM

SUPERNATURAL (5) franked an impressive fresh-up maiden win out of her class at Pinjarra with a brave effort for second here 10 days ago. She ran on strongly that day and will relish the step up from 1000m to 1200m. She has plenty of scope and can have the last say here. SANTANOVA (6) is showing plenty of potential in all of her 3 starts to date at Pinjarra. She will also appreciate having an extra furlong to travel and with a soft run lucky from the pole position, she should be right in the finish again. SUNSHINE TAFE (4) raced just off the pace at Pinjarra last start and though travelling wide throughout, she still proved to be too tough in the run to the line, scoring by nearly a length. This grade holds no fears for her and she can win again. GOLD FLAKES (3) set up a strong clip here over 1000m last start and faded out to finish a well-beaten fifth. She is likely to be ridden more patiently this time and can bounce straight back into the money. Include in all combinations.
SELECTIONS: Supernatural to win.

WYONG: RACE 10 @ 6:00 PM

Lightly raced four-year-old YORKSHIRE (4) returned from a four-month spell and was beaten in a thriller by subsequent winner Accredited over 1300m at Randwick three weeks ago. Expect he will work through the grades this campaign starting with a win here. RAVELLO (12) was 39 days between runs when a moderate eighth last time out over 1400m at Randwick. Awkwardly drawn but with added fitness he looks a threat over his pet distance. SILENTSAR (10) added to his fine recent record when third in heavy ground over 1250m at Canterbury last start. Should relish the six-week freshen up since that outing. Sound each-way hope. NOBLE CONQUEROR (11) won well first-up in a BM72 at Randwick. Up in class but can hold that form.
SELECTIONS: Yorkshire looks a good bet.

GOLD COAST: RACE 2 @ 2:05 PM

The $500,000 Country Cup. SLIPPIN' JIMMY (7) resumes here but the form he showed when last in work was more than good enough to be competitive in a race like this. Is two from two over this six furlong journey and gets Clark on board from the favourable draw. Should be in this for a very long way. LOST HIS BEANS (4) was a touch plain at the latest effort but had strung five wins together on the bounce prior. Gets Williams on board to navigate from the sticky draw and a return to form would not surprise. QUADE (6) has won two of his past three and is racing with a lot of confidence. Respect from the Gollan barn. LADY SHOTGUN (9) is three from three around this circuit and is a must for the multiples. BENCOOLEN (13) rounds out the selections in an open contest.
SELECTIONS: Slippin' Jimmy to win again.

MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 2 @ 1:36 PM

PRAIRIE FLOWER (5) has been left a clear top pick off the back of a key scratching. Has once again produced eye-catching efforts to kick-off the preparation. Meets a few of her main dangers better at the weights despite beating them home last time out and should be primed to go on with it now in a small field. CELSIUS STAR (1) and JACKS ON ICE (2) finished just behind Prairie Flower last start in the LR Christmas Handicap. Both are talented enough on the day but need the fav to have an off day. DIVINE GLORY (6) made it a winning stable debut for the Clarken & O'Shea team when arriving just in time at Morphettville two weeks ago. Was resuming off a 201-day break so is susceptible to a flat performance. Strikes a tougher assignment but is worth keeping safe in the minors.
SELECTIONS: Prairie Flower hard to beat.
